Sexual Maturity

Health, Mens Health.

Sexual freedom: its promise and consequence - today' s modern generation is already so liberated when it comes to sexual health and sexual orientation. But along with this freedom comes its great responsibility and possible unfavorable consequences. Sexuality It has become a freedom of expression.

The Promise Of Sexual Revolution. - it may not be a complete separation from the western sexual attitude but was considered to be a liberalization from the conservative outlook of the previous decades sparked by the cold war. As early as the 1960' s, the term sexual revolution had been used to describe the trend which brought changes in sexual morality intended to equalize sexual behavior of the opposite sexes. This conservative outlook bred puritanical culture which eventually caused the so - called sexual revolution. Unlike the previous generations, people have become more open about discussing sexual health issues such as masturbation, pre - marital sex, pornography, erotic fantasies, and even homosexuality. However, some historians believed that the changes may not be seen in actual sexual activities such as people having more sex or engaging in different types of sex, more of a, but rather" coming out" period.

Another reason for this break - away mindset was the introduction of birth control pill in the the 1960' s which allowed women easy access to reliable contraception. - the significant changes in sexual behavior was observed among women who, upon reaching the age of maturity, had exhibited sexual behaviors common to men. This new - found freedom was fanned into flames by the increasing popularity of television with its ability to influence millions of viewers while spreading new ideas in such a short span of time. In the 1980' s, women would have more partners as compared to the women of the previous generations. Sexual Liberation And Its Consequence. The promise of sexual revolution is maturity, happiness and fulfillment through sexual liberation.

The sexual liberation has appealed to most women because it gave them empowerment and equality with the opposite sex. - the contraceptive pill had given them a sort of an an upper hand against sexual prejudices and biases from the male department who allegedly impregnate them only to be tied to a life - long oppression called marriage. It liberated them from ultimate dependence on men. This kind of reaction was brought upon by too much puritanism during those times where women were expected to be subservient to men' s whims and caprices. However, the continued rise in sexual assaults and battery of women had only encouraged detractors to trumpet their view that women are being exploited, abused and mistreated in the name of sexual liberation. Indeed, the sexual revolution had liberated the women not only in sexual behavior but in all aspects of social life.

Those who view sexual liberation in a negative light also say that the pill, which women consider as" liberating" had been used by men to further their own sexual activities. - sexual liberation also espouses acceptance of homosexuality and lesbianism. They say that the pill has allowed men to decrease the risk of getting their female partner pregnant, while still retaining the opportunity to enjoy sex. It has encouraged the new generation to bravely come out of their" closet" and demand fair treatment and equality. Modesty has become synonymous with immaturity, pornography becomes art. Some quarters now actually view sexual liberation as the cause of breakdown in morality.

Still, everything depends on how a person would take liberalism and to what extent. - indeed, sexual maturity plays a very important role in understanding sexual liberation. It can either boost a woman' s self - esteem or it can stripped her of her own protection. Sexual Maturity. Not being impulsive or emotional, but being reasonable and appropriate. Maturity is the ability to respond to circumstances in a rational way.

Sexual maturity is a stage when a person' s physical, and sexual health, emotional is ready for reproduction. - what then should we know male and female sexuality? Part of maturity is the ability to gain important information about sexuality. As an individual reaches puberty, bodily and emotional changes occur. Voice development take place, especially among boys. Women begin to menstruate while men' s sex organs increase in size and grow pubic hair. Teenage girls are encouraged to undergo their first gynecological exam before becoming sexually active.

In fact, many people treat sex with such casuality that the concept of commitment and responsibility involved in sex hardly becomes a topic for discussion. - both young men and women will experience curiousity with the opposite sex and, at the same time, must be taught to be aware of the potential dangers of sexually transmitted diseases( stds) . More alarming is the recent statistic that shows that more than 50% of the youth have engaged in unprotected, pre - marital sex at least once. There are those who still believe in virginity, they would not, though admit it for fear of being ridiculed. Clearly, the sacred aspects of sex as a" divine gift" to be used for procreation and enjoyment by married couples has been lost. In today' s society, a girl starts losing her virginity as early as aged 14 or 1In the same manner, boys are pressure by their peers to have sex with a girl, at about the same age or younger. This is why it is important to consider what lies ahead for you and for your loved ones, and how you can protect each other from getting sexually transmitted diseases.

Modern lifestyle promotes individualism and being unconventional. - one must learn to practice a positive and respectful approach to sexuality and sexual relationships by respecting and protecting the sexual rights of every individual.
